SINCE ALMOST 30 YEARS IN BOLOGNA THE BEST RESTAURANT WITH JAZZ CLUB
Ristorante As an osteria and restaurant, capable of accommodating approximately 260 seated guests, of which about 150 in the huge Music Room, the Cantina Bentivoglio offers a complete menu where you can find not only a panorama of dishes in the great Bolognese tradition, but also excursions into modern cuisines. Our tortelloni, tortellini and tagliatelle are made daily with a rolling pin by professional pasta makers, men and women who each year are awarded prizes in civic contests. And our kitchen staff prepares daily the famous Bolognese “ragù” (beef meat sauce) which is served with our delicious tagliatelle and lasagne.
But in the tradition of true Bolognese osterias, you can come to the Cantina Bentivoglio just for an after-dinner drink, perhaps accompanied by a dessert, or to sample a good bottle of wine chatting with friends.
 
A curiosity:
Did you know that the famous Bolognese sauce, which is traditionally served throughout the world on spaghetti (another internationally celebrated Italian specialty) is served in Bologna exclusively with tagliatelle (egg noodles) or as a stuffing for lasagna made with green (spinach) pasta? Never dare to order “Spaghetti alla Bolognese” in Bologna! You risk a long detention period in the city jail, fed only with true bolognese specialties….
